Our Team

Imparture is an independent company with offices in the US and UK. The company was founded by Graham Lee and James Fell, who both draw from an extensive digital entrepreneurial background. Our passionate team draw from our bases in the vibrant digital hubs of San Francisco and London and manage training events across 22 locations across the US and UK.

    James is one of the founding members of Imparture having worked within the digital space for the last 10 years. When he's not at work, James can be found completing his executive MBA at Cass Business School.

    Rachel Beard

    Finance & Operations Director

    After ten years working in finance and project management, Rachel joined Imparture as the Operations and Finance director in 2015; she describes herself as an arithmophile and happily spends her days looking after anything and everything numbers related for the Imparture team. Rachel is an Englishwoman in San Francisco and often hums Sting tunes to herself.

    Graham is one of the founding members of Imparture. Graham's career was initially grounded in PR, before founding a number of companies in the fields of social media and digital marketing.

  • Hannah Stuart

    Hannah Stuart

    Global Events Director

    Hannah is the Global Events Director at Imparture, drawing on over seven years’ experience in the Events industry. Prior to joining Imparture, Hannah worked in New York City as the Training Coordinator for an international executive search association and organised B2B conferences across Europe for the financial services and utilities industries. Hannah is a dedicated foodie with her finger on the pulse of the London food scene and her baking skills have been confirmed to be unrivalled in their deliciousness, made clear by her interview for the Great British Bake Off. Her long-term pipe dream is to effectively utilise the skills acquired during her post-grad studies in International Business Practice by escaping to Cornwall with her surfer husband to open her own yoga retreat.

  • Abby Hirsch Phillips

    Abby Hirsch Phillips

    Lead Trainer, Imparture

    Abby’s diverse wealth of experience and expertise spans over 25 years, and covers a broad base of disciplines, from career and change management to training, facilitation, sales and marketing. She’s a sought-after speaker, and as one of Imparture's lead trainers, leads our Atlanta-based workshops in marketing and recruitment. As a business owner and Imparture trainer, Abby provides business strategy, marketing and social media consultancy services. She currently volunteers as the Director of the South Atlanta Business Association, providing her with expert knowledge of local businesses that she applies to her training courses. Other previous experience includes a nine-year stint with LHH + DBM where she was Career, Business, Life Coach and Consultant Speaker and Trainer. Here Abby consulted with small businesses to help create and develop brand, design and strategy, plus improve networking. Abby also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design – Interior Architecture and Space Planning from Syracuse University.

    Jennifer Radke

    Trainer, Imparture

    Jennifer has over 15 years of experience in sales, recruitment management, organizational leadership, coaching, development and training, making her a perfect fit to lead Imparture's courses. She obtained her Social Media Strategist certification in 2014 and is a certified instructor. Jennifer is also Chief Strategist and Owner of her own company in Minneapolis, where she delivers Imparture’s workshops on marketing, data analytics and recruitment. Previous experience includes a number of roles with the Argosy University spanning 12 years, including AVP of Training and Regional VP of Marketing and Admissions. She holds a MS in Organizational Leadership from Argosy to go with her BA in Communications from the University of Minnesota-Morris.

    Robin Colner

    Trainer, Imparture

    Robin is the CEO of her own company as well as an Academic Director and a Teacher at Fordham University, developing the curriculum and hiring instructors as well as teaching various undergraduate and post-graduate courses in digital marketing and social media. It’s this experience that makes her a great fit to lead our New York-based workshops on marketing and recruitment, where she helps businesses, professionals and B2B companies successfully drive traffic, increase revenue and benefit from a results-driven social media strategy. Clients have included Houlihan Lawrence, plus Webster Bank, DialAmerica, and the Event Leadership Institute. Robin holds a MBA from the Wharton School of Business and boasts more than 20 years of experience in product technology development and online marketing experience, having worked for both leading advertising agencies such as McCann Erickson as well as Fortune 100 corporations including Citigroup and American Express.     Mary Ann is a Communications Consultant, experienced marketer and has also been providing social media training for the past eight years, with particular expertise with LinkedIn. This gives Mary Ann the perfect qualifications to lead our marketing courses in Boston. She graduated from Wellesley College with a BA in Anthropology before receiving a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. Mary Ann switched to marketing after a long and varied career in the public and educational sphere. From 2014 to 2016, Mary Ann served in Corporate & Customer Communications for Dragonwing girlgear, providing marketing communications and planning, social media strategy and execution, plus writing and editing for a broad range of clients.     Janet Johnson

    Trainer, Imparture

    Janet is a Social Media and Content Marketing Strategist with over 13 years in the online marketing industry. She owns her owns business based in Minneapolis, where she leads Imparture's marketing courses. Her past clients include Bill Champlin, former singer with Chicago, The Gold Guys, Comply Foam Nation and Chanticlear Pizza. Previous experience includes: 14 years as marketing and social media manager for Creative Carpentry. Janet also holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from St Cloud State University, which helped form her passion for teaching business owners how to navigate the complex online marketing and social media world.   • Julie Van Ameyde

    Julie Van Ameyde

    Trainer, Imparture

    Julie has over 25 years of business development and marketing experience in a myriad of industries, from legal and medical to technology, retail and services. Julie has been President of her own company since 2008 alongside delivering Imparture’s workshops on social and digital media marketing in Detroit. Previous experience includes various managerial roles in sales and business development, plus eight years as an Associate Professor at the Schoolcraft College, teaching IT in the Business Development and Continuing Education departments. Julie holds a Bachelor’s in Management and Economics with a minor in Marketing from Oakland University.
